Your Osteopath
Chris graduated from The British School of Osteopathy in 2009 and started out in private practice in London, working in a multidisciplinary practice alongside physiotherapists and other specialists in musculoskeletal medicine.
Originally from the West Country (Chris grew up in Bristol), Chris moved to Bath 10 years ago and initially established his Fit 4 Life Clinics within GP practices in Bath and Bruton. Today, Chris runs his practice from his clinic in the Bear Flat area of Bath.
Chris uses a combination of massage, active and passive muscle stretches and joint articulation/manipulation techniques to improve patients’ overall mobility, relieve muscle tension and promote healing. Chris also understands the importance of giving his patients a clear understanding of their condition, in conjunction with motivating patients to make appropriate, manageable changes to their lifestyles to improve recovery.
Chris has undertaken post-graduate courses in cranial osteopathy, advanced spinal osteopathic techniques and in chronic pain management. He is also currently studying to become a Member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society.
Away from work, Chris enjoys time with his family, including three sport mad daughters, and enjoys staying active himself, either at the CrossFit Bath gym, hiking in the Scottish Highlands or in training for a long dreamed of cycling sportif.
Chris is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
